Here's how it begins. I was lucky enough to get the chance to do a quick photo session with Dita. Thankfully the photos turned out well enough to use for reference so I could put together this painting (I'm not that great of a photographer). This sketch is actually taken from about 4 different photos. After a few sketches this is what I came up with. This gives me the basic lines and values that I will use for the painting.
